Why would Windows Vista install 32bit os on a Core 2 Duo
l just purchased a Dell Latitude XT which uses the Intel Core 2 Duo
processor. This is a 64 bit processor, is not it? When l check
properties on Vista it says ''32 bit OS.''
Unless you have the need for Extreme computing there is no need
to have a 64bit version of Vista, another Problem is Vista itself & also 64
bit Drivers a harder to come by, Change to Windows 7 & you won't need to
have 64 bit OS but choose wisely if you do so there are pros when it comes
to having a 64 bit OS, but until most systems using it the con is like no
drivers & the costs are not good.
If you have a Business & need high speed is for calculations & file transfers you should use a 64 bit OS
Because you have the 32 bit version of Vista, not the 64 bit
version, so the processor is operating in 32 bit mode.
